About Me

Hi, I'm Thanh, but most people call me Chase. I started programming in 2021 and have been drawn to the parts of software that turn messy problems into useful tools.

Computers first caught my attention through gaming. Over time, that curiosity shifted toward understanding how applications work, how systems fit together, and how thoughtful engineering can make someone's day easier.

I studied abroad in the US in 2022 and have continued building across backend services, frontend experiences, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled applications.

These days, I am especially interested in practical AI: systems that work with existing products, support better decisions, and remain understandable to the people who use them.

Thanks for stopping by. This site is a record of what I am learning, building, and figuring out next.

About Me

I'm Thanh, also known as Chase. I build practical software across backend, frontend, cloud, and AI. I am always learning, and this portfolio tracks the work along the way.

UTA PhD
In Fall 2026, I will begin a PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am looking forward to going deeper into computer engineering research and finding practical ways to connect that work with real systems.

IBM AI Engineer Intern
At IBM, I am leading a team designing a hiring manager scheduler that helps teams make faster, better informed decisions. The application brings role creation, candidate pairing, resume review, interview automation, and Microsoft Graph API integration into one workflow. It reduces the coordination and communication overhead between interview rounds and speeds up the process from start to finish by 80%.

Alongside team leadership, I work on the backend, improve the frontend, and guide teammates across the stack based on what the product needs. That includes Docker, Code Engine, IBM Cloud Object Storage, and watsonx Orchestrate.
